Zeinab Khalifa has been working as a professional jeweler and artist for the past twenty years. She began as an apprentice to traditional master silversmiths and jewelers in Khan-El-Khalili, the heart of historical Cairo. By the early 90s Khalifa had opened her own workshop and began exhibiting her unique single edition pieces. Khalifa's first conceptual and installation art pieces were first exhibited in 1997. She is currently involved in both contemporary installation art and jewelry making. Her work has been acquired by various private and institutional collections, in America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Khalifa lives and works in Cairo, Egypt.
